I have been at the University for 4.5 years and began working with the Medical School in 2020 before transitioning to the University Honors Program in 2023. I am also (slowly) working towards my Master's in Higher Education. I live in Saint Paul with my husband (Steve), our son (Rafael), and pets, a dog (Willie) and two cats (Luna & Fiona), and am expecting our second child in November 2024. When I'm not working, I enjoy leisurely reading, watching true crime and thrillers, and exploring the Twin Cities and Minnesota. I am from Guadalajara, Mexico but have lived in the states almost my entire life and I joined LFSA to reconnect with my culture and meet other Latinx folks in the community.

I returned to the U after a 20 plus year gap. In my role I encourage all to find their people, their gente, those they authentically connect with and can be themselves. They may not be in your team, department, or college, but maybe in LFSA. This is why I am a part of the LFSA Leadership Team. I want to help create this space. I enjoy being outside, reading, and spending time with family.

I am passionate about diversity, equity, & inclusion, and have worked in the field in various roles at the Carlson School for almost 14 years. I graduated from the U of MN many years ago but somehow found myself back here and stuck around! I live in Bloomington with my dog, Murray, and enjoy live music, playing softball, grilling, and hanging out with old/new friends (can't say no to delicious food & a yummy cocktail). I became a part of LFSA when we rebirthed the group in 2015! I feel strongly about bringing Latinos together to bond and find community.

Hi there! I've been working at the UMN since 2023 and I am also a graduate student in the Civic Engagement program in CCAPS. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, but moved to the Twin Cities from Houston, Texas in 2022. I enjoy riding my bike, watching movies, reading thriller fiction books, and spending time with my two Chihuahuas. I joined LFSA to build community with my Latino/a/x/e peers.
